[Finished] Written in the stars (BTS)
  • Alina
  • ‘Did you like the food?’ I asked Jungkook who was sitting down, gulping down the food. I wasn’t sure whether he liked it or he was simply hungry. He stopped and looked at me with big, wide eyes.
  • ‘Like it? I freaking love it!’ he said excitedly. ‘Jin and Yoongi are amazing at cooking but,’ he paused, tilted his head as if he was struggling with the words. As if he was not sure whether he should tell me or not.
  • ‘They’re amazing at what they do, but our resources are limited,’ Taehyung said for him. I felt a pang in my heart, knowing they probably had to suffer a lot.
  • ‘I see,’ I mumbled as I looked down and played with my fingers.
  • I somehow felt guilty that I had been living such a luxurious life due to me hiding while they had to struggle all their life. While I always had food, clothes and shelter, they must have struggled to even put food in their belly or have a roof over their head.
  • ‘It’s okay Alina. Don’t feel bad for us,’ Jimin said as he grabbed my hand and rubbed at it with his thumb. It was almost as if he senses the shift in my mood. Then again, I would not be surprised. I knew wolves tended to be more sensitive to what others are feeling, especially because they can smell the changes in the scent.
  • ‘He’s right. We may have struggled sometimes but we were free and happy. We were just waiting for the day to meet you,’ Taehyung said with a smile.
  • ‘I honestly still can’t believe it. It feels like a dream come true and oh goddess, if it’s a dream I don’t want to wake up from it,’ Jungkook said, making me giggle slightly.
  • ‘It’s not a dream Jungkook,’ I assured him. ‘And you won’t ever have to struggle for food or shelter anymore. I want you to come and live with me from now on,’ I said.
  • The three of them looked at one another as they exchange looks before they looked back at me. ‘Are you sure Alina? Having seven werewolves suddenly come live with you is quite the life change,’ Taehyung said.
  • ‘You’re my soulmates Taehyung. I’ve been waiting for you my whole life and I’m not letting you go,’ I said as they smiled. ‘Besides, this house is big and it has always felt empty,’ I admitted.
  • That was the truth. I had a huge house but most of the rooms remained empty. The stereo might have played music but the house remained silent. I may have had heaters, but the house remained cold. I was safe but I was also alone and I was tired of being alone. I was tired of feeling lonely.
  • ‘It must have been hard for you too, living alone. How did you end up living alone?’ Jungkook asked and I sighed.
  • ‘I um,’ I began as I cleared my throat. I felt Jimin rub at my hand even gentler, as if he was encouraging me to go on. ‘I was born to a wolf pack,’ I began.
  • ‘Really?’ Taehyung asked, slightly excited and his eyes big. I smiled and nodded. ‘That’s amazing Alina. You have wolf blood running in your veins,’ he said which caused me to chuckle and nod.
  • ‘Yeah. My father was an Alpha and my mother was like me. In the beginning, we were not sure what I was until I started setting accidental fires or causing tides,’ I said, smiling at the memories.
  • ‘Awhh cute. I’m trying to imagine a little Alina causing all kind of troubles and mischief,’ Jungkook teased.
  • ‘Yah! I was young and did not know how to control it yet. Some of the pack members didn’t like it much. They used to say ‘the half-breed causes too much trouble’ but I didn’t care,’ I said with a shrug.
  • ‘They used to call you that?’ Jimin asked and I nodded. He frowned as he looked down. ‘I know what it’s like to be seen as an outcast. I was the * soon of the Alpha,’ he said.
  • I stared at him, knowing he must have gone through literal hell. An Alpha is supposed to be respected and if his Luna cheated on him and ended up pregnant with another wolf’s pup, then his life would have been miserable. No wonder Taehyung was so protective and caring towards him. Jimin was probably an Omega which meant physically he was weaker than the other members of the pack but that meant nothing in my eyes. For me, he still looked perfect.
  • ‘Hey you okay?’ Jimin asked, worry in his voice. I raised my head and nodded.
  • ‘Yeah, don’t worry I’m okay,’ I said as I gave him a smile. ‘Anyways, I was saying how I grew up in the pack. It wasn’t always easy but it wasn’t terrible until a clan of vampires attacked us. They made a massacre of us and only few were left alive so then I grew up in an orphanage,’ I explained. They simply nodded, almost as if in understanding.
  • ‘I’m sorry your lost your parents and pack. I can imagine it was really hard,’ Taehyung said.
  • ‘It was but I believe we all must go through hardships in order for us to learn how to be stronger,’ I said which made them smile. I looked out the window and saw it begin to darken as the sun set. ‘It’s evening. Would the others have arrived?’ I asked, feeling excited to meet them.
  • ‘They should be on their way. I probably should go to meet them so I can bring them here,’ Jungkook said.
  • ‘I don’t like the idea of you being out there alone when the hunters might still be lurking,’ Taehyung said, his voice more stern than before.
  • ‘I’ll be okay Tae. You shouldn’t travel too far. You’re probably still recovering and need rest,’ Jungkook replied swiftly.
  • ‘I can go with him Tae,’ Jimin offered in a quiet voice. ‘I know I’m not exactly a fighter but I can try to help,’ he added.
  • ‘You are a fighter love,’ Taehyung said in a soft voice. He sighed as he pinched the bridge of his nose, seemingly unsure of what to do.
  • ‘I can come along. I can offer assistance,’ I said to which Taehyung and Jimin smiled as well.
  • ‘She’s pretty good at it too,’ Jimin said with a chuckle. ‘Still though, I don’t think I wish to have her out there in the open,’ he mumbled.
  • ‘I’m not a child Jimin. The only way they can get an advantage over me is they put a suppressor collar on me but they have to get close to me to be able to do that in the first place,’ I said.
  • ‘What’s a suppressor collar? Does it take away your powers?’ Taehyung asked. It wasn’t just a curious question but rather one where he seemed to be mentally taking notes.
  • ‘Yeah. It's a piece of material that goes around the neck. I won’t be able to heal others, nor use my bending powers,’ I said. He huffed and nodded as he looked at the others.
  • ‘Tae, let Jimin and I go. We’ll be careful and we’ll be more on the alert. Stay with Alina,’ Jungkook said.
  • ‘Maybe that’s the best idea,’ Taehyung murmured as I rolled my eyes and crossed my hand across my chest.
  • ‘I can take care of myself boys, I’ve been doing it for years,’ I argued but Jimin was quick to untie my arms and hold my hands.
  • ‘Exactly. For years, you had to protect yourself because you had no one watching your back. So, please, let us take care of you as much as we can, hm?’ he asked.
  • ‘Fine, but you better be quick. I want to see the others and meet them and I’ll be worried about you,’ I said with a pout. I could hear Taehyung chuckle.
  • ‘You don’t have to be love. We’ll be safe, I promise,’ Jungkook said as he presented his pinkie finger. I rolled my eyes and smiled while I put my own pinkie against his.
  • ‘We’ll see you soon then,’ I said as they nodded. Jimin and Jungkook both approached as they each gave me a kiss on the cheek. I gulped, feeling the heat rush to my cheeks. I looked on as the three exchanged quick kisses and touched forehead.
  • ‘Come home as quick as you can,’ Taehyung seemed to order. They nodded and I watched them as they removed their clothes and put them in a pile.
  • ‘You know, this whole naked part is something I’ll have to get used to,’ I whispered to Taehyung who laughed.
  • ‘You’ll get used to it, don’t worry. I’ll even dare to say that you’ll grow to love it,’ he said with a playful smirk.
  • ‘Yah! Don’t be a pervert from day one,’ I scolded while I laughed. Jungkook and Jimin turned to look at us before they both shrugged and left out the door.
  • They jumped and in mid-jump transformed into huge wolves. I could not help but in awe of them and a little gasp left my mouth. I took a step forward as I watched them take off in a run.
  • Suddenly, I felt arms coming from behind me as Taehyung hugged at my waist. He put his head on my shoulder and kissed my neck and then cheek.
  • ‘They’re magnificent, aren’t they?’ he asked and I nodded. ‘They’ll be home soon so don’t worry too much,’ he said as I simply nodded once more.
  • ‘I just want them to be safe,’ I said as he turned me around and looked me in the eye.
  • ‘They will be,’ he said, kissing my forehead. ‘Do you want to cuddle on the sofa while we wait?’ he asked. I smiled and nodded as I went to close the door and lock it. He took my hand and I let him lead me to the sofa. We both sat down as he wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close to him. ‘You smell so nice Alina,’ he said as he kissed the top of my head.
  • ‘What do I smell like? I heard wolves tend to smell particular scents with different people,’ I said.
  • ‘We do. You smell sweet – like a flowery scent, maybe Jasmine, but there’s also a hint of citrus,’ he explained.
  • ‘Ahh okay. Well at least I have a pleasant scent,’ I said, laughing a little as I cozied up to him. ‘You’re so cosy Tae,’ I said to which he laughed. I felt him vibrate as he laughed which seemed to soothe my nerves.
  • ‘There will be plenty of cuddle nights, don’t you worry my love,’ he said. ‘Why don’t you take a nap so you don’t see the time?’ he suggested but I was already half asleep.
  • ‘Hmm yeah,’ I mumbled as I felt sleep overtake me.
